Requests to apply for status of residence

Our firm specializes in handling your residency status applications. Obtaining or modifying foreign nationals' residency status is necessary when staying in Japan beyond short-term periods for various reasons, including:

  1. Enrolling in a Japanese university.

  2. Employment or entrepreneurship in Japan.

  3. Being invited for collaborative research in Japan.

  4. Marrying a Japanese citizen.

  5. Welcoming a child born in Japan.

We, at our firm, streamline the process of applying for these residency statuses by collecting the necessary documentation (including passport-sized photos and other documents that may require your personal involvement, although we can also assist with this through power of attorney). We prepare the application forms and manage the entire process, right up to the submission to the Immigration Bureau.

Additionally, we offer services for creating and translating English contract documents and drafting regulations as needed.

We cater to various cases.

For startups or businesses in operation for less than one year, when additional documentation is required for the residency status application or when it's necessary to elucidate the reasons for the application, we provide specialized support to help you obtain the required permissions. This support includes analyzing your business's nature, prospects, the hiring process, and the educational and professional backgrounds of your employees. We will assist in drafting a compelling statement of purpose, outlining the reasons for your application, and provide expert guidance to secure the necessary approvals.
